Content (Syllabus outline)
General terms and principles of trial law. Participants in civil procedure. Procedural activities and basic knowledge of the course of first instance procedure. Different ways of terminating the procedure of first instance - following the will of the parties or with the court's decision. Legal remedies. Basic characteristics of special procedures. Fundamentals of civil enforcement Law. Fundamentals of non contentious procedures.

Objectives and competences
To qualify the student for performing of less complicated legal tasks in judiciary (courts, prosecutor's, general attorney's, notary's and practicing lawyer's office), where the basic legal knowledge is sufficient and performing elementary legal tasks in administration and in business.

Knowledge and Understanding: - basic knowledge of institutes of civil procedure, - apprehension of outlines of legal conclusions in the law of civil procedure, - basic knowledge of the course of civil trial and other civil procedures.

Transferable/Key Skills and other attributes: - ability to analyze and synthesize the real cases under the relevant legal provision, - responsible managing the less complicated legal tasks.

• Student is obliged to prepare short written and oral presentation of court decision which will be appointed to him and is compatible with previously lectured topics. Student is obliged to attend at least one public main hearing in civil court proceeding. The analysis and presentation of the appointed court decision at the tutorials and visit to the court is the condition for the student to be admitted to the written examination. • written examination (a student is admitted to the oral part of the examination provided he/she passed the written part first), • oral examination,
