Content (Syllabus outline)

|
The subject comprises various topics and vocabulary forms in the field of economics and business as well as situations in which the future graduates will use the language, i.e. planning, human resource management, solving conflicts, establishment of new companies, products and services, meetings and negotiations within the business context. In addition, the students become acquainted with the basics of commercial correspondence (content and style, enquiries, replies and quotations, orders and miscellaneous correspondence within business context). |

Objectives and competences

In this course students:
1. Get the basic grasp of terminology used in various fields of economics and business, which is related too other subjects studied in the second year.
2. Upgrade and expand the knowledge and business and work related terminology.
3. Gain the ability to apply their theoretical knowledge of English language in practice.
4. Acquire basic skills of commercial correspondence.
5. Develop specific work related communication skills (presentations).
